This newly established hotel only opened in February 2014 and is in a gorgeous location. Surrounded by some incredible landmarks and in close proximity to various unique places to enjoy by either foot or public transport, it’s the place to make your base. If you want to be close to top sightseeing spots, then you will be pleased to know that the Hampton by Hilton London Waterloo is close to the London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Bridge, Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus. Not a keen walker and want to get to your destination even faster? Take the London Underground from London Waterloo Underground Station which is approximately 3 minutes away from the hotel by foot.

Want to see an evening show and be close to your hotel? Hop over to The Old Vic performance arts theatre which is only a 2-minute walk from the hotel. The area immediately surrounding the hotel has small versions of chain supermarkets and also some nice places to grab a bite to eat. The management are helpful and try to accommodate you if there is availability for an early check-in or late check-out. It’s definitely worth trying to get this so that you can relax in this comfortable little corner of the capital before you set off either on your sightseeing or journey home.

The design of the room is contemporary and some of the rooms have some quirky and modern features such as a rather grand and leisurely armchair. The bed is firm, large and comfortable, which means that you will certainly have a very good night’s sleep. There is an iron, ironing board, hair dryer, tea and coffee facilities, a safe, a closet with approximately 6 hangers, a study desk and a large TV with a number of channels. The room also has several plug sockets to ensure that you can plug in and charge your devices in places which are most comfortable and convenient for you. The bathroom is excellent, although you should note that this hotel only has showers.

The Hampton by Hilton has 4 conference rooms available if you would like a formal and private space to conduct your work. If, however, you simply want to have a quick catch-up with someone or you want to type away on your laptop for a few hours, then you may prefer to sit in one of the few working spaces. The design of the hotel is beautiful and well thought out as all of the open areas where you can sit and work are near a window, so you will be able to enjoy the natural light. You can sit in an armchair with a desk to yourself or a small chair and table in a group area. Alternatively, if you feel like sitting in a warm and comfortable sofa, then get snug in one of the many bright and colourful sofa sets. There is free Wi-Fi available in all areas of the hotel and it is of a high strength.

Fitness is not an afterthought at the Hampton by Hilton London Waterloo as its gym is kitted out with the necessary equipment for you to have a brilliant work out. To access the gym, you will need your electronic room card/key as the gym is only accessible to guests staying at the hotel. There are 3 machines for cardio activity and a set of weights (including free weights) that are available. There are also some inflatable balls if you fancy doing a bit of Pilates on the mats. There is enough space on the mat area for about three individuals to work out.

There is one television mounted on the wall. With no music playing in the gym, however, you would be advised to bring your own music devices if you need the beats to get you moving. There is a water dispenser and ample towels available for your use. At 6.00 am, we found the gym to be a popular place, so if you’re a keen runner and want to snag the treadmill, make sure you wake up on time. For a three-star establishment, the Hampton by Hilton London Waterloo does deliver a usable and clean gym for exercise fanatics.

All of the communal areas in the Hampton by Hilton London Waterloo are beautifully kept, incredibly clean and immaculate; from the lobby to the workspaces to the breakfast area, its brilliant. Guests that stay at this hotel receive a complimentary breakfast each day. The breakfast consists of a choice of different breads (including gluten-free), pastries, cereals, cheese, fruit and hot items such as tomatoes, beans, eggs and sausages. The spread that is put on is amazing, and you will certainly find that breakfast is a plentiful experience at this fine establishment. The real triumph during this mealtime is when the do-it-yourself waffle makers are brought out and accompanied with Nutella pots and whipped cream! At this hotel, you can definitely start your day in an energetic and sweet way. It should be noted that the breakfast area also turns into a restaurant through the daytime and nighttime.
