Given Bergen’s reputation for art, it is appropriate that people of an artistic tendency will fancy visiting, and where better for them to stay than in the former workshop of an artist? In this case, the modernist painter Gerrit van Blaaderen (1873-1935), whose former atelier has been renovated into a cosy house which fills with light–something that would certainly have pleased the artist. In the present, it has become a simple, comfortable home with modern conveniences such as a dishwasher, flatscreen TV, and a cosy outside seating area.
There is parking space for two cars, and the town of Bergen is close by, as are the owners who live in a separate property on the grounds.
