The bad reputation of the roads in Albania is well known and, if you’re driving around, make sure to drive carefully along the coast, as many areas lack safety railings and there are spots where the road has fallen away, because of earthquakes. Another common thing is goats crossing the road, so be prepared to halt quickly.
