Reasonable prices for a private detached bungalow in the heart of the countryside

Situated on top of a small hill amongst the rolling fields of a working farm, you needn’t see another soul for the duration of your stay at Tynddol Bungalow if you don’t want to. Far away from the hustle and bustle of town life, you can enjoy some blissful isolation and the feeling of being far away from everyday life. The remote location of the property means that it does not have Wi-Fi internet access, giving you even more chances to totally disconnect and revel in the calm and tranquillity.

Prices for Tynddol Bungalow vary according to the season and length of stay, with prices generally higher over the summer months (July to September). As a general guide, you can expect to pay around 280 GBP (approximately 405 USD) for a two-night stay. This is the minimum period that the bungalow can be booked for. A three-night retreat will cost around 350 GBP (approximately 506.50 USD), with the weekly rate between around 500 GBP (approximately 723.50 GBP) and 800 GBP (approximately 1,157.50 USD). When you consider that these prices are for the entire bungalow, not per person, it really does work out to be pretty affordable.

Two gorgeous bedrooms that can sleep up to five guests

Tynddol Bungalow has two spacious bedrooms, each with lovely decorative touches and comfortable furnishings. One bedroom has a double bed, and the other has a double bed plus a single bed. The soft mattresses, crisp white sheets, warm duvets, and fluffy pillows will certainly help you to sleep well!

Large floor-to-ceiling wardrobes provide plenty of storage space, and each room has a full-length mirror as well as bedside tables with small lamps.

The pale walls are adorned with interesting pictures, and the rich eye-catching colours of small scatter cushions and bed throws really will make you feel like you are in a home-away-from-home.

If you’re visiting with a baby, you’ll find a cot and a highchair stored in one of the wardrobes.

Large and comfortable living room with a fireplace

Keep cosy in the spacious living room, complete with a large L-shaped sofa (suitable for 4 – 5 people) that just begs for you to rest your weary feet, and a wicker chair with a plump cushion. A big coffee table is great for playing board games (you’ll need to take your own), and there is also a TV with satellite channels and a DVD player.

Although the property has full central heating throughout, the wood-burning fire is perfect for chasing the cold away and creating even more of a homely atmosphere. A basket of wood and kindling is provided, and you’ll find matches, thick gloves, and a poker – everything you need for getting your fire blazing! You can buy extra bags of wood and kindling if required. You’ll find more bags in the shed, along with an honesty box where you can leave your payment. Additional bags of firewood cost 5 GBP (approximately 7.20 USD) each.

Double doors at each end of the living room provide through access to the main entrance hallway and the dining area. There is a large window that allows plenty of light into the room during the daytime.

Well-equipped kitchen and welcoming dining room

Prepare a meal in the large and well-equipped kitchen before sitting down at the dining table to enjoy dinner.

The kitchen has an oven, a stove with four rings, a fridge-freezer, a microwave, a toaster, a kettle, and a vast array of crockery, cutlery, glassware, and utensils. In the many cupboards you’ll find items such as plates of varying sizes, bowls, mugs, oven dishes, an assortment of glasses, including wine glasses, tumblers, and scotch glasses, pots, pans, a tin opener, a corkscrew, a pizza cutter, chopping boards, sharp knives, and more!

The central island serves as both an additional work surface and a breakfast bar. There are four high bar-style stools at the side of the room – drag them over to chat with the designated cook for the evening as he / she prepares your feast!

There’s a small TV on the wall in the kitchen, and you can groove to your favourite tunes with ease thanks to the iPod docking station.

A long wooden dining table, complete with six chairs and place mats, is a terrific place to sit, eat, drink, and chat. Doors lead out into the garden, and there is a corner table with a lamp and a clock. Small candles on the table and a bowl of fragrant pot pourri (scented dried flowers, chunks of wood, and other plant material) add delightful finishing touches.

Other rooms and amenities at Tynddol Bungalow

Tynddol Bungalow has a utility room, with a door leading outside, with a washing machine, an iron, a sink, and a clothes airer. It’s great if you want somewhere to keep your muddy boots after long days walking in the countryside and a place to hang damp clothes.

The bathroom has a bathtub with a shower attachment. Whilst the lack of a shower curtain or screen can make it tricky to have a proper shower without soaking the floor, you can easily wash yourself off (and keep the floor dry!) if you sit in the tub or crouch down low. But, surely a luxurious soak in the tub would be more appealing anyway, especially after a day of exciting activities and adventures?!

Fantastic outdoor facilities and stunning views

fantastic outdoor facilities and stunning views

There is a pretty garden with grass and flowers complementing the scenic views of the fields and countryside. There is a small summer house with a wooden bench and a table plus two chairs, and you can enjoy star-gazing whilst keeping warm in front of the fire pit. You’ll find further outdoor seating on the patio, with another table and four chairs, as well as a two-seater metal bench next to the bungalow’s front door.

The shed provides storage for outdoor gear and bicycles, and there is plenty of car-parking space on the gravel in front of the bungalow; you should be able to easily fit four - five average-sized vehicles within the gates. The location of the bungalow means that you will need your own transportation to access your accommodation and enjoy the surrounding areas.

A major plus-point is the tempting hot tub next to the patio. Pull back the cover, crank up the heat, turn on the jets, and hop in to relax as you soak up the marvellous vistas and enjoy the serene atmosphere. Want even more bubbles? Plastic champagne flutes are available for use in the hot tub. Bliss!

Explore the local area

Tynddol Bungalow is located close to several walking trails and pathways through the countryside, including Glyndwr’s Way. Glyndwr’s Way is a long tail that stretches from Welshpool to Knighton, via Macynlleth, and it has plenty of cultural, historic, and natural attractions to enjoy. The area is terrific for hiking and cycling enthusiasts.

There is a small but quaint local church around a five-minute drive from the bungalow, and you’ll find a small community shop alongside the main road. Do be aware, however, that the opening hours of this shop are very limited – go to the bungalow prepared with all essentials (food, drink, toilet paper, etc) to avoid long journeys in search of shopping facilities.

Wales’s spectacular Brecon Beacons are around 45 miles (approximately 72 kilometres) from Tynddol Bungalows, and you can also get to places like the seaside town of Aberystwyth, Llandrindod Wells, and the interesting English cities of Ludlow, Hereford, and Kidderminster within an hour’s drive.

Book your relaxing retreat at Tynddol Bungalow for a magical time in the heart of rural Wales.
