Known for the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco nestles on the Pacific Ocean in northern California. For those seeking fresh air fun, the Golden Gate Park is a worthwhile visit for a stroll. The city is also renowned for its steep hills, lined by colorful Victorian houses and its quaint cable cars. The city overlooks San Francisco Bay, where the former notorious Alcatraz Prison sits on an island and can nowadays be visited as a tourist attraction. The bustling Fisherman’s Wharf offers a range of souvenir shops and eateries. While there, take a visit to the sea lion colony and tour historic ships. More eateries and boutiques are available in Ghirardelli Square, located in a former chocolate factory. More shops and dining opportunities can be found in Pier 39, which also offers a video arcade, virtual 3D rides, and the Aquarium of the Bay. Among the selection of restaurants in the city, there is also a range of vegan food in San Francisco and its surrounding areas, the top options of which are listed below. Check them out.
