The owners were extremely friendly and helpful; the room we stayed in was a Garden View room which did indeed have a lovely view of the garden - but it also had a stunning view of the citadel too. The room had been very recently refurbished and was clean and very comfortable. We didn’t take up the offer of breakfast, as there is a perfect patisserie right across the road, which does gorgeous pain au chocolate, as well as lovely sandwiches which are great for taking with you for lunch. The staff were friendly and helpful and the accommodation and facilities very good including free wifi. We had dinner in the hotel which we enjoyed particularly as the restaurant on the 4th floor had views of the floodlit citadel. Breakfast was in the same restaurant and on a buffet basis. There was a coach party staying at the hotel plus other groups from many countries so the restaurant was busy. Guest Experience : “We arrived much too early for check-in but were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who told us our room would be ready in 45 minutes and we could leave our luggage there. When we got back the room was indeed ready so we checked in and went to our lovely clean and comfortable room. Compared to other rooms in the area I thought it was quite large and it certainly had almost everything we could want for a lovely stay. The only thing missing was facilities to make tea or coffee in the room. The pool and hot tub were excellent and lovely and warm and a real bonus. This is our second stay at this hotel and would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.
