Pasadena, Texas, United States, was named after the city of the same name in California due to its rich vegetation. It is the seventeenth most populous city in Texas and is located within the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area. So, if you’re ever in this part of Houston and are looking for places to stay, here are some of my suggestions:

This hotel is close to the Pasadena attractions as well as Houston attractions. For example, NASA’s Johnson Space Center is less than 10 miles (16 kilometers) away. The rooms are comfortable, clean and cozy. There is an outdoor pool and spa, where you can sit out on the patio and soak up the hot Texas sun. What keeps people coming back to this place is the over the top customer service.

This also cozy and comfortable hotel is located only 7 miles (11.2 km) from the Houston Hobby Airport. It is also really close to some great attractions like: Pasadena Convention Center & Municipal Fairgrounds, NASA Space Center Houston, Kemah Boardwalk, Galveston Island and Beach, Moody Gardens, Battleship Texas and San Jacinto Monument, Minute Maid Park and the Toyota Center.

This hotel is also 7 miles (11.2 km) from the Houston Hobby Airport. It is a really nice looking hotel and what guests love about it most is its location. There is an outdoor pool, hot tub and fitness center. In the cold winter months you can sit outside with a nice hot fireplace and just kick back. This is a great place to stay if you plan to do some sightseeing. It is the location and friendly staff that makes this place stand out.

This place is located near the airport as well as near the University of Houston and Texas Southern University. There are lots of attractions nearby here also. This includes the Houston Zoo, NASA/Space Center Houston, Moody Gardens and Children’s Museum of Houston, all of which should not be missed, especially with family. On your way out, be sure to stop by and enjoy the free breakfast including eggs, waffles, meat, yogurt and fresh fruit.

5. Silver Sycamore (from 155 USD)
This is the only bed and breakfast on this list. You will feel right at home here; it is a cute place to stay. Balconies with garden views and patios are offered, along with free WiFi and free private parking on-site. The breakfast is continental and it is fully English and Irish. All rooms are air conditioned, which is great since Texas gets hot and humid. There is a flat-screen TV in each room also. As for its location, the town of Houston is 13 miles (21 km) from here, William P. Hobby Airport is only 7.4 miles (12 km) from here and George Bush Intercontinental Airport is 23.5 miles (38 km) away. A great place to kick back and enjoy nature.

A pet-friendly hotel close to Houston, there is a beautiful sitting area outside the hotel that can be utilized in any season. There is free parking onsite as well, and the location is great because the nearest airport is William P. Hobby Airport, which is only 6.6 miles (11 km) away. The International airport, George Bush Intercontinental Airport, is a little further.

This place is only 25 miles (40 km) from the George Bush Intercontinental Airport, but is 7.4 miles (12 km) from William P. Hobby Airport. The hotel has an outdoor pool and fitness center. If you prefer to stay in the room, each room is air conditioned, which is great since Texas gets hot and humid during the summer.

This hotel is just off of Hwy 225, 3 miles (5 km) from the Pasadena City Center, 8 miles (12.8 km) from the NASA Space Center and about 10 miles (16 km) from the Houston Downtown Aquarium. The rooms here are quite comfortable and the staff is very helpful. There is free breakfast, free WiFi, free parking and a hot breakfast buffet offered here. A great place to stay with family while you enjoy the surrounding area.

Pasadena, Texas, is the perfect place to stay if you want to get away from the big town of Houston. Pasadena has its own charm, but if you want to visit Houston as well, staying at one of these places is a wise choice.
