I left the United States in June 2015, and have been working, volunteering, and backpacking my way through Europe ever since. My traveling passions are food, history, and cultural exchanges, especially through Couchsurfing. In the past I've done short backpacking stints through Western Europe, but I'm currently working my way through the Balkan countries of Eastern Europe. I love a good home-cooked meal from a host, I don't mind long train rides, but the best part is meeting new friends and making meaningful connections along the way. I started a blog when I began my journey, but this is my first time writing about my travels for a larger audience. I can't wait to share my experiences with you!
