2. Dorko (DRK)
Dorko, although an international brand, is designed by an ecelctic array of Hungarian artists, designers, musicians, and tattoo artists. Their flagship store is located on Andrassy Avenue, near the Opera House and not far from the Basilica. Stop by DRK for some truly creative sneakers, bags, and accessories for men and women. Like many Hungarian brands, DRK has a focus on sustainability. Proceeds from their “Remember your Roots” collection go towards planting trees in the Breuer László Nature Conservation Training Center. 3. Nubu & Nude by Nubu

6. Eva's Room
Eva’s Room is a fashion showroom beautifully decorated like an intimate sitting room. Eva’s goal was to bring you a relaxing shopping experience free of the crowds at the mall. A relatively new addition to the 5th district, not far from Deak Ferenc Ter, Hababa Design Store sells a selection of Hungarian art, women’s and vintage clothing, and accessories. The store is designed so beautifully that it’s worth a stop for its sake alone. Travelers love Hababa’s unique jewelry, reasonable prices, and truly rare finds.

8. Lollipop Factory
Lollipop Factory is both a fashion store and exhibition space for local artists, on Kiraly Utca, a popular area for bars and shopping. It’s just a few minute’s walk from both the Opera House and the Great Synagogue, so a stop here can be a great addition to your sightseeing itinerary. 9. The Velvet Chemistry [UPDATE: CLOSED]
The Velvet Chemistry is also on Kiraly Utca, just a few stores down from Lollipop Factory. Check out The Velvet Chemistry for rich textures and eccentric and (very) high heels. 10. Romani
Possibly the most colorful on the list, Romani is a local design label inspired by traditional Roma culture. Erika Varga, the founder, believes fashion can act as a bridge builder between cultures. The design studio also provides career and educational opportunities to women in need. Erika’s work has been internationally recognized; in 2012 she was awarded the “Glamour Women of the Year Award.”
