Las Vegas is an incredible city with so much to see and do. But between all the gambling, the shows, the sights and sounds, you’re going to need to eat. And Vegas has so many places to eat. Here, we’re going to give you our guide to the very best places to eat in Las Vegas for all budgets. So whether you’re after fine dining or something cheap and satisfying, this list should give you everything you need to eat well in Sin City.

1. Buffet eating: A must-do Vegas eating experience!

Everyone should do Vegas buffet at least once. All of the major strip hotels and several restaurants offer buffets. Pay your money and feast yourselves, that’s the deal here. Obviously, each buffet is different and there’s a huge difference in what you get and how much you pay. Gone are the days sadly where you could find a great strip buffet on the cheap, as most of them have taken the food and the prices into gourmet range.

For our money, the very best buffet in Vegas has to be the Bacchanal Buffet at Caesar’s Palace. Open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., it offers all the food you could wish for with more than 500 dishes all prepared fresh by the team of chefs. Great quality and a great price, starting from 39.99 USD for brunch and 54.99 USD for dinner.

2. Tacos and Tequila at the Luxor

Editor’s note: Establishment is permanently closed

When you’re looking for cheap food, you can’t really get better than free, can you? And one of the ways to get a full stomach for free is to hit the bars and fill up on bar snacks. This might sound unappetizing, but frankly, it all depends on the quality of the bar snacks.

One of the best lunchtime treats we found was at the Tacos and Tequila restaurant bar at the Luxor casino. After visiting the excellent Bodies exhibition, we fancied a quick drink and spent a good hour feasting on the excellent (and free) chips and dips. Great Mexican snack food, all for the cost of a few beers.

3. New York New York Pizzeria

There are plenty of pizza places in Vegas, but for my money, there’s none better than the Pizzeria at New York New York. Located on the mezzanine, this fast food joint has pizzas by the slice, big on taste and incredible value, certainly for the strip.

4. Buca di Beppo, Excalibur

Located upstairs at the Excalibur Casino, Buca di Beppo is an Italian chain that offers family style eating, with a small Buca portion serving 2 to 3 and a large serving up to 6. Portions are huge, but so is the taste. The selection is excellent, with the half-pound meatballs or cheese manicotti heartily recommended. And for an appetizer, be sure to try out the bruschetta, the best I’ve had outside of Italy, served in a huge bowl, dripping with sauce, loaded with tomato and mozzarella.

5. Denny's on the Strip

Yep, Denny’s. When you want something well made and filling that doesn’t bust your budget, there’s no better place than Denny’s. Truly, there isn’t, and this one is right in the middle of the strip, just past the MGM Grand and Showcase Mall as you walk north.

6. Yard House at the Linq

The Yard House is a bustling restaurant at the Linq. But just because it’s busy doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice quality or an enjoyable eating experience. The great thing about the Yard House is that it caters to all tastes, with a great range of excellent food.

It’s also great for vegetarians, with the Gardein veggie range. Oh, and you simply have to try the onion ring tower appetizer. Yummy!

7. Cafe Bellagio

Eating at the Bellagio is going to cost you less than you might think when you choose the Cafe Bellagio. An oasis of calm, beautifully decorated in an old fashioned European style, Cafe Bellagio has an extensive breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu offering excellent food at surprisingly inexpensive prices. The highlight of the menu has to be the creme brulee trio desert. Worth going for this alone.

Hugo’s is, without a doubt, the most romantic restaurant Vegas has to offer. An old school Vegas vibe makes this a must for anyone looking for that perfect romantic dinner date or special occasion. It’s found downstairs in the Four Queens Casino on Freemont Street, and for years has been offering incredible food and a perfect romantic ambiance. Every female guest walking through the door gets a rose, a simple yet classy touch. The service is attentive and the food is sublime.

10. Best eating away from the Las Vegas Strip!

When you are staying on the Las Vegas Strip, it’s tempting to think that this one street is the entirety of Vegas. But when you do venture out further, there’s so much more to Vegas. As for eating choices, there are hundreds of quality places to eat off the strip, but we’ve narrowed it down to a top two, our favorites that we always take the time to visit.

In Mexico, they say “If you want good food, go to Michoacán.” But in Vegas, if you want the very best Mexican, we always head to Lindo Michoacán Restaurant. Excellent food and drinks, loved by the locals. Make sure to try the guacamole, freshly made table-side.

And for a great local pizza and pasta Italian experience, we’d recommend taking the time to drive out to Giuseppe’s. Behind an unassuming facade, this is a feast for your taste buds. Welcoming to all, you’ll feel like a family friend.
