Angeles City is the entertainment capital of the country and also known to be the origin of one of the most famous appetizers in the culinary world with its Sisig dish. Like an appetizer, Angeles City is a starter. If you are in for exploring the usual escape to a dip in the seas, then start it out with the inland experience which is one and a half hours from the coast. Angeles will entertain you with a feast for the eyes and the mouth and you’ll never think of how to start things the same way again.

1. A trek up Mount Pinatubo

Located at the tripoint boundary of the provinces of Zambales, Pampanga and Tarlac, Mount Pinatubo is an active stratovolcanic caldera in the Zambales Mountains. After the Ultra-Plinian eruption in June of 1991, which reached the second layer of the earth’s atmosphere(stratosphere) and Typhoon Yunya (Diding) complicating it during that time, changed this part of the Luzon terrain. This diverted rivers into different areas changing the river systems since then. As nature has redefined its physical attributes, it also has redefined its fate as it offers transients to the place an opportunity to take on a good trek on its paths. The beautiful landscape lures you to explore nature’s gifts on this part of Pampanga.
