9. Church Of St. Alex

The Church of St. Alex is one of the first churches founded by the Franciscans. It is an ancient and beautiful church, located on Calangute Beach. The architectural beauty of the church is quite impressive and appealing, which is the main reason it is set apart from the other churches in the area. It has two towers, striking altars, and a marvelous dome.

The white dome can be viewed from the entrance and is the main attraction of the church. The ornate altars are worthy of the praise that it gets from every tourist. This place to visit in Calangute was originally founded in 1595 and is considered to be one of the oldest surviving churches in Goa.
