11. Fish on the Atlantic Road
Take a day and go fishing in one of the unique areas near Molde. In the Averoy Municipality of Romsdale, a beautiful road with eight bridges connects the islets. On the sea road, there are places to pull over and fish. Two bridges, in particular, are designed for those who enjoy fishing, but you can stop and fish off the other bridges too.
The best bridges though, cause no traffic conflict and offer benches. However, you need to take your own equipment as there are no rentals there. The trip is best done in spring or summer and the spectacular views bring a fantastic experience well-deserving of a camera. The Atlantic Road is located between the towns of Molde and Kristiansund along route 64.
12. Go skiing in winter at Tusten Skiheiser
Norway is beautiful in winter, so why not take along your equipment, or hire some, and hit the slopes near Molde. There are numerous skiing activities available during the main season that runs from December to April. Just ten minutes from Molde you will find the Alpine Skiing center of Tusten Skiheiser.
The variety of facilities include prepared pistes and you can attend a ski school. 3 km (1.8 miles) of the 20km (12 miles) slopes are floodlit.
