How to reach Cavelossim?

After arriving in Goa, you can either travel by train from Panjim, by local bus or by hailing a cab. Cavelossim has good connectivity with the rest of Goa and the nearest railway station is Margao Railway Station nearly 9.3 miles (15 km) from where you can take an auto rickshaw or cab. You can also rent a vehicle for local transportation (two wheeler or four wheeler) for travelling across South Goa.

Best time to visit

November to March is the peak tourist season and the best time to visit Cavelossim. This is the ideal time for indulging in water sports or simply sun-bathing by the sea shore. However, you will need to pre-plan and pre-book your trip during these months due to the heavy tourist inflow. The off season is during the rainy season from June to September. During this time, the waves can be rough, so it is not safe to swim on any of the beaches, all water activities are generally closed and rain can force you to stay indoors for most of the day.
