1. Heart Lake Conservation Area
Heart Lake Conservation Area spans 169 hectares (418 acres) of the land in Brampton, Ontario. This beautiful, lush and green area, with a big lake in the middle, has a lot of interesting activities to offer. You can camp under the stars and build a fire to roast marshmallows at the Indian Line Campground. You can also hike - the area has 11 kilometres (6.8 miles) of hiking trails; and you can mountain bike - the park offers over 50 kilometres (31 miles) of both double tracks and technical single tracks. There is a golf course in the park as well as many opportunities to fish. And, what you may not expect, is that it is possible to hunt for pokemons with Pokemon Go in the park! Don’t believe me? 2. Great War Flying Museum
For someone who’s interested in war history, aviation history or aircrafts, or just anyone who’d like to watch some amazing flying machines, the Great War Flying Museum is worth a visit. The museum is located in Caledon, 14 kilometres (8.7 miles) from Brampton’s city centre. During the tour in the museum, you’ll see and experience interesting aspects of military air life, see galleries full of not only uniforms, models, photographs, but also machine guns and replicas of real flying machines. The admission fee is whatever you’d like to donate to the museum.

3. BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir
BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir can be tricky pronounce, but I can assure it’s very worth visiting. It’s a Hindu place of worship that offers a little piece of India in the middle of a Canadian city. It’s another attraction you’d need to drive to - the Mandir is located a 20-minute drive away from Brampton. The beautiful building and amazing people there will give you a taste of the very interesting culture and religion of India. The Mandir is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., entry is free and everyone’s welcome.

4. Peel Art Gallery
The name says art gallery, but that’s not all that Peel Art Gallery is. It’s also a museum and archives, located in the middle of Brampton, opposite to Gage Park and the City Hall. The PAMA (Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives) was created to be a historical society and today it lets people of all ages experience art and history of the Peel region through many interesting exhibitions, games and activities. You can find their hours of operation on the website below. The admission is 5 USD for adults and 4 USD for children and students.

5. Gage Park
Gage Park is the main city park of Brampton and it hosts many city events such as Rib'n'Roll (a ribs, rock ‘n’ roll and rollerblading event), classic cars exhibitions and concerts in the summer. During the winter, the park’s main path is turned into an ice rink, isn’t that amazing? It’s also beautifully decorated when the park takes a part in Brampton’s Tree Lighting celebration. So as you can tell, there are many things to do in the park, including some of these more relaxing activities such as picnicking with the family or walking among beautiful, big trees.

6. Brampton Arts Walk of Fame
As you can see, you don’t have to go to Hollywood to see the Walk of Fame. Of course, you won’t find Sylvester Stallone or Marilyn Monroe’s stars in Brampton, but the Brampton Arts Walk of Fame is really interesting nonetheless. The Walk of Fame features many local artists and singers, as well as some international names such as Indian actress, Bipasha Basu. The Walk of Fame is located at Rose Theatre.

7. Wet'n'Wild Toronto
Who doesn’t like a little splashing fun, diving into the cool water and racing down thrilling slides? Wet'n'Wild Toronto isn’t only for children - it’s an amazing day full of laughter and fun for everyone! They have plenty of amazing attractions for all ages, such as Big Surf for wave-floating, Caribbean Chaos for slides with plenty of curves, and Coconut Cove where you can have a relaxing time with a tube or even ride a zip-line. The park is open daily from 10.30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the one-day admission fee is 37.95 USD.

8. Claireville Conservation Area
Do you need to spend some relaxing time among nature? Or maybe you need a place for some good exercise? Would you like to see some interesting wildlife? You must go to Claireville Conservation Area then. The park is full of golf courses, hiking trails, zip lines and even swimming pools, so it offers activities for the entire family. 9. Professor Lake Beach
If you encounter a hot day during your vacation in Brampton and you don’t really want to go to the swimming pool, you have a special option. Professor Lake Beach is a spring-fed lake in the heart of Brampton, that gives you the opportunity to go swimming, kayaking, water sliding and engage in other interesting water activities. If you don’t feel like getting wet, you can also enjoy a walk or bike ride around the lake.

10. Cheltenham Badlands
Here’s something particularly outstanding that I left to the end. It’s something you wouldn’t expect in this part of Ontario. Beautiful red-colored badlands are located on the south-east side of Olde Base Line Road and it’s a 1-kilometer (0.6-mile) hike to get there. For those of you who don’t know, badlands are a type of very dry terrain. These badlands feature type of geological formation called Queenston Shale. It’s a perfect opportunity to take an amazing picture and have a very interesting walkaround. The Badlands are located in Caledon, about a 20-minute drive away.
