4. Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta
Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta is a beautiful Roman Catholic cathedral in Vieste. It was built as a dedication to the Assumption of Mary. It was built in Apulian Romanesque style and has a basilica plan with a nave and two aisles. The bell tower was rebuilt in Baroque style in the 18th-century after the old one collapsed. This cathedral is a must-see when in town.

5. Museum of Malacology
Museum of Malacology in Vieste finds its origins from the passion of its owners for travels and for shells. In the beginning there were only 4,600 specimens but nowadays the collection counts 12,500 from all over the world. In addition to the exhibition of shells, there is also a section dedicated to sea fossils, some of which come from Africa, Madagascar and Morocco.

8. Chianca Amara
