Imagine yourself in paradise. Blue skies, puffy clouds, palm trees swaying on a pristine beach, clear sparkling waters with an abundance of corals and fish just below the surface. If you are lucky enough to book a stay at Kagi Maldives Spa Island, you will find just that - a stay in paradise. Read on to learn more about a stay at Kagi Maldives Spa Island.

One island, one resort

Over water villas

Kagi Maldives Spa Island is a one island, one resort concept (a concept that is popular in the Maldives). Opened in November 2020 with a total of 50 villas, each of them has an infinity pool, most of them are located directly over the water, and just a few of them fronting the beach. This allows for a quiet stay, far from the crowds and the noise, and ensures exquisite attention to your every need or request. The staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable and memorable.

Over-water villas

Private infinity pook

Lagoon and ocean pool villas allow you to directly access the warm waters of the Indian Ocean from a ladder descending from your private wooden deck. The villas themselves are large (105 sq m or 1076,39 sq ft) well outfitted, with soothing colors and comfortable furniture. The bed is incredibly large and cozy, and the bedding is soft. Nespresso machines with capsules are provided as well as an electric kettle and a selection of fine teas. A refrigerator with a full mini bar, wine glasses, coffee and espresso cups, and plates are included as well. Rooms are taken care of by dedicated staff several times a day with a night time service that includes a lovely fruit platter or treat.

Water, water everywhere

Bhutanese traditional healer

As this is an island resort, and the island is small, the blue waters meet the eye everywhere you look. Water activities include snorkeling (with free equipment provided), various boating options (all non-motorzied), complimentary kayaks, and a fully outfitted diving center with excellent equipment and experienced dive masters to guide you. A gorgeous spa with state of the art exercise equipment, and a full range of spa treatments rounds out the activity roster. Morning Stretch and Sunset Yoga are taught by a yoga master, and a Bhutanese traditional healer offering individual consultations and healing sessions bring this wellness spa to a new level of experience.

Culinary adventures

Chef Didi cooks Maldivian fish curry

Eating at the Kagi Maldives Spa Island is a serious affair. Senior Chef Denis, who hails from Italy, orchestrates and runs three restaurants on the island. The main restaurant provides an extensive breakfast buffet, and a themed dinner buffet every night, ranging form Maldivian to Middle Eastern, Indian and more. Two à la carte restaurants, one Asian, the other Italian, are open on alternate nights and provide specialty dining. The chef and kitchen staff are very forthcoming in catering to special needs including gluten free, vegetarian and kosher cooking. The food is varied, interesting and tasty with an emphasis on fresh tropical fruits, fish from the sea, and an abundance of vegetables, all in line with the wellness and health theme of the resort. Maldivian cooking classes are available with Chef Denis and Chef Didi and are highly recommended.

Vacation in paradise

A stay at the Kagi Maldives Spa Island is as close to paradise as one can expect to get to in this lifetime. The scenery, the accommodations, the water, the fish, the food, the spa, and above all, the individual attention afforded to each and every guest makes this stay one for the books.
