Williamsburg is a city in Virginia located between the major cities of Richmond and Norfolk and it serves as home to around 15,000 people. It was incorporated during the 1600s, at the height of colonial rule. The colonial center is a reminder of these times. Today, it serves as a vacation and relaxation spot for city dwellers, with plenty of nice accommodation and great food to boot. Much of the transportation here is by car, though there is a common station for buses and a train. You can also walk around town since it isn’t so large and many of the spots in town are along the main highway. Uniquely, the town, along with the rest of Virginia, is host to a healthy number of theme parks, which are worth a visit, especially if you’re on vacation here.
