The Art Mill is an enormous art gallery spread over three floors of an old mill. It exhibits cutting-edge photography, light and sound installations, sculptures, and paintings by local as well as national artists. The Art Mill was the centerpiece of the 2016 Art Capital Festival and was especially notable for a display of wicker and wire sculptures.

The Serbian Ecclesiastical Art Collection is a treasure trove of icons, vestments and other sacred items made of precious metals. The oldest item on display here is a 14th-century glass painting of the crucifixion. This wonderful museum full of such artifacts should be on your things-to-do list when in Szentendre.

6. Margit Kovács Ceramic Collection
Located in a 18th-century salt house, the Margit Kovács Ceramic Collection is dedicated to the work of Szentendre’s most famous artist, Margit Kovács. Kovács was a ceramicist who used Hungarian folk, religious and modern themes to create Gothic-like figures.

7. Hungarian Open-Air Ethnographic Museum
The Hungarian Open-Air Ethnographical Museum is a must-visit, especially for kids since there is so much to learn about the old ways in which houses, stables and other buildings were built. There are also animals inside and you can pet them. There are several events and activities too. The museum, however, is huge and requires a lot of walking. It is also not wheelchair friendly, but apart from this, it is a wonderful place.

8. Blagoveštenski Church
Built in 1752, the Blagoveštenskai Church with fine baroque and Rocco elements has ornate iconostasis and elaborate 18th-century furnishings on the inside. It was first built by the Greeks fleeing from the Turks. The church is one of the symbols of the town, being the most well-known of the nine churches of Szentendre.

9. Pilis Mountains
The Pilis Mountains is a mountainous region with Pilis as its highest peak. It is a popular destination for vacations. Earlier, the Pilis Mountains used to be a hunting ground for the Hungarian Kings. In the Pilis Mountains, there are three mountains whose locations show the exact arrangement as the constellation Orion. This destination should not be missed and should be on your bucket-list.
10. Szamos Marzipan Museum
