The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences is in Raleigh, North Carolina, just 25 minutes away from Clayton. It has welcomed an astounding 1.2 million visitors annually and is North Carolina’s most popular museum.

2. Sky Zone Trampoline Park
Sky Zone Trampoline Park is a great indoor activity, where you can bounce around all day. You need to be physically fit to jump around here, so as soon as you arrive, there is an electronic waiver you’ll need to fill out, as there are health risks involved. 4. Play golf at the Riverwood Golf Club
The Riverwood Golf Club is a located on beautiful terrain, along the Neuse River, in Clayton. It has championship layout, designed by David Postlethwait, who has created 27 holes of glorious golf, at one of the best courses in North Carolina. As soon as Riverwood opened, in the year 1997, North Carolina Magazine ranked it as one of the “Top Ten Best New Courses in North Carolina.” A wide variety of golf tournaments and championships are played here and you can avail of the professional golf staff, who can help train you to become a professional.

5. Main St. Community Garden
If you are visiting downtown Clayton, then this perfect garden is the place you should see with your family. You can enjoy a nice little stroll here, as they have a wide variety of plants and really good entertainment, during their special programs. They do a lot of charity work as well, as whatever they grow here is used to feed the needy community, in the area.

6. Visit The East Clayton Community Park

East Clayton Park is one of the newest parks in the area, and it features 66-acres (26.7 hectares), with a picnic pavilion, some soccer fields, great multipurpose playing fields, a baseball field and a one-mile (1.6 km) trail. The shelter can be rented out for picnics and parties and there are plans for the park to build Clayton’s first Universal Playground, where children of all abilities will be able to play. Plans also include an additional picnic pavilion plus a disc golf course.

7. All-Star Park Johnston County

The All-Star Park has many amenities for the whole family, including a basketball court, picnic shelter, and a fenced-in playground for the kids, so they don’t run off somewhere! A picnic shelter is also available for rental.

9. SPARKcon
SPARKcon is a four day interdisciplinary creative art and design festival, produced by Visual Art Exchange.
