The best time to visit these parks and gardens is during the month of September. In this month, the heat of the summer has worn off and winter is yet to arrive. Thus, you can enjoy the bliss of nature in the ideal climate.

This colorful parade in the heart of the city takes places at the end of the winter and brings the promise of springtime. The theme of this parade changes every year and in 2018 it was the “Tales of Perrault and From Elsewhere”. Around 4,000 people participate in this carnival, which is indeed a great experience to witness. Dating back to around the 16th century, this carnival starts at the Gambetta Metro station and ends in Place de la République. The exact date of the carnival varies every year, but it usually falls in the month of March.
