The late 19th-century building housing the Hotel San Francisco has been renovated into a comfortable and convenient modern hotel, while retaining the classic features of the period architecture.

Friendly and welcoming staff ensure guests have a comfortable stay and gladly provide information on area events and attractions. Comfortable lobby seating invites guests to relax and visit while the central stone stairway leads to the upper guest room floors. Natural lighting blends with subtle LED lighting to create a reflective mood in the central area.

Great downtown location is convenient to local historical sites

Strolling on the cobblestone streets of downtown, visitors can experience the history of San Luis Potosi first-hand. The San Luis Potosi Visitor’s Center, located across from the Plaza de Armas, is only a few blocks from the hotel. The centrally located hotel is near several churches, parks, and museums of historical importance.

Local attractions include the Cathedral, the Plaza de Armas, Alameda Park, numerous museums (some with rotating displays), and several plazas and parks great for people-watching. A few of the museums charge a minimal admission fee.

The downtown area also offers great shopping and eating options. The concierge will happily provide information on local events as well as area excursions of interest to guests. The hotel is conveniently located near several tour operators providing excursion options to nearby attractions within the state of San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

The renovated building offers comfort and convenience

The three-star hotel, located at Calle de University #375, features 50 guest rooms and mini-suites. Some rooms offer balconies overlooking the historic city center.

Each room is furnished with a floor fan, television, telephone, Internet access (Wi-Fi), safe box, and complimentary coffee/tea. Bathroom amenities include hair dryers, ironing boards, and complimentary toiletries. A complimentary local newspaper is available upon request. Two rooms are equipped for people with disabilities, something unique in this San Luis Potosi hotel.

In addition to a Business Center and event space for up to 50 people, the hotel offers a comfortable contemporary lobby area, free airport transfers, elevators, a private parking lot and valet services. Laundry and babysitting services are available with reservations.

A restaurant is coming soon

Comfortable lobby area will soon lead to restaurant

The hotel will have a restaurant in the near future as well (renovations are underway). In the meantime, an alliance with a local restaurant, the Restaurant La Posada del Virrey, is only minutes away by walking. This restaurant offers guests regional dishes traditional to the San Luis Potosi area at very reasonable prices. I recommend the enchiladas potosinas, a traditional regional selection and very filling.

Several other local restaurants are within walking distance featuring a wide range of local dishes as well as classic menu options. Local fresh markets offer a great selection of fresh produce for quick snacks and flavor.

Coffee shops and museums are also convenient to the hotel, providing guests with multiple options to relax and experience the culture and atmosphere of the city.

Hotel San Francisco offers ideal location and amenities

The comfortable hotel located in the heart of downtown San Luis Potosi is the perfect place to relax while exploring the culture and diversity of San Luis Potosi.
