Santa’s Pub is a weird, little bar that is unknown to most locals. But those that do know of Santa’s Pub, know it is a truly unique place. Santa’s Pub is located inside a trailer and brings in some famous faces and karaoke lovers alike. The bar is decorated with Christmas lights and knick-knacks and since they are open until 3am they tend to attract a crowd of people who are most likely after-party-goers.

If you’re looking for a bar with elaborate cocktails, bar food, and imported beer, this is not the place. Santa’s Pub is a cash-only bar that serves 2-USD beers and allows smoking inside. Its laidback energy is exactly why people love it here.

The location of Fran’s East Side used to be (perhaps ironically) a beauty salon. Despite that Fran’s East Side has been around since the 1970s and the cash-only bar reflects that. The bar used to be located in a rougher part of town but the area was cleaned up.

While the places around Fran’s modernized, Fran’s has remained as a place where the working-class people of Nashville can grab a beer, play some pool, and enjoy each other’s company as well as have a sing-along or two.
