Tip from Content Creator

To get to Mt. Rainier, take the Skyline Loop Trail. There are many trails in the area, but this one is by far the most scenic. I recommend going in the fall or spring when it’s not too snowy or too hot!

  • "Cozy & rustic. Plenty of beds. A few things in the kitchen were a bit dirty- a couple of simple replacements recommended. An outside broom would be good to keep hot tub area from getting muddy, slippery. But still worth all it offered & GREAT location for Rainier, White Pass- so much outdoorsy options so great location ! Would recommend if good with the rustic feel ! Lovely location & views!" - Julie (Bethlehem, PA)

  • "We really enjoyed the Cornerstone Cabin! A great combination of modern convenience and rustic charm and setting - perfect for our family (we have two teens). Note it's about 35-40 minutes from the main Paradise visitor center and the most popular hiking trails. But that's as close as any lodging can be (other than the two hotels inside the park). Pretty much nothing is closer, since it's immediately outside the park entrance. Hot tub in the backyard was great - felt new and clean." - Len G.

  • "Charming, spacious, and in a great location. Other positive include very comfy beds (if you are a soft bed type of person), great kitchen and very easy to cook and share meals, and most importantly - often with Air BnB Hot Tubs either don't work great, do not get hot enough (i.e. will only heat up to 100, not 104), or are not clean. This Hot Tub was perfect, we spent a ton of time in it. Pakwood is a great location to explore Rainier." - Drew (Portland, Oregon)

  • "We enjoyed our small trip to Nelson Base Camp. The architecture was amazing! We loved all the windows and the natural light. The hot tub hut was an added plus and the way the back door and outside walkway felt like it was part of the inside of the house was incredible. The kitchen offers you the flexibility to make your own meal which we highly recommend because local dining is limited." - Gabrielle G.
