One of the must-visit tourist attractions in Jhansi will be the fort. Jhansi Fort is located atop a hill in the city. It served as a stronghold to the Chandelas from 11th to 17th century. The ancient fort has 10 gates. Back in the earlier days, the fort housed and supplied some treasures and military weapons. This complex has beautiful architecture and is one of the top tourist attractions to visit when you are in Jhansi. The beautiful fort is situated at the bank of Betwa river. It houses several ancient monuments such as palaces, temples and other buildings. The fort was built in the 16th century and many kings and queens have lived here. The fort today has many murals and decorations that you can admire. It is no wonder that Orchha Fort Complex is a must-visit place close to Jhansi.

This monument is a historical place in Jhansi and it looks like it is out of a historical fantasy movie. The ancient site is one of the must-visits when you are in Jhansi and has been recommended by other tourists too. The lush garden and architecture of the building compliments each other. Rani Lakshmi Bai built this chatri and dedicated it to her husband, the king, Maharaja Gangadhar Rao. The site is preserved and well maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India allowing visitors to enjoy the breathtaking palace.

8. Say your prayers at St. Jude’s Shrine

St. Jude’s Shrine is a Roman Catholic Latin Rite shrine. The church was devoted to St. Jude Thaddaeus. This piece of glory was founded by late Bishop Francis Xavier Fenech. It has been about 30 years and over since the shrine was established. The architecture is unique and gives off a modern look. Many windows keep the place of worship bright, spacious and airy. Outside the church there is a beautiful garden, giving the place a serene atmosphere. A mass is held early in the morning every day and the timings vary throughout the year and the seasons.
