Milazzo is a town located in the Metropolitan City of Messina, Sicily, southern Italy. It is the largest commune in the Metropolitan City after Messina and Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto. The town has a population of around 31,500 inhabitants. 1. Castello di Milazzo

Castello di Milazzo (a.k.a Milazzo Castle in English) is a castle and at the same time citadel located on the summit of a hill overlooking the whole town in Milazzo, Sicily. It is originally the site of a Greek acropolis, then an Arab-Norman citadel, Milazzo’s enormous castle was built by Frederick II in 1239, expanded by Charles V of Aragon and stormed by Garibaldi’s troops in 1860.

Antiquarium di Milazzo is a 10-room museum located in Milazzo, Italy. The museum displays treasures from the neolithic times to the Byzantine era. Most of the collections that you will be able to see here are household ceramics and funerary urns, with an emphasis on the Greek and prehistoric periods. Even if you are a historian or not, if you want to see different things from decades ago, feel free to visit this place and be amazed by the amount they have collected.
