1. Achziv Beach National Park
Achziv Beach National Park is located north of the city, near to Kiryat Gershon Tez. This park is great for spotting a variety of wildlife, including sea turtles, in their natural habitat. It is suitable for families due to the fact that the featured sea pools contain both shallow and deep water - therefore perfect for your young ones to paddle around. The rocky beach here spans a total of 3 miles (5 kilometers) ending at Ladder Ridge, which is the border between Israel and neighboring Lebanon. 2. Nahariya Botanic Garden and Zoo
Nahariya Botanic Garden and Zoo is located to the north of Nahariya, close to Giv'at Trumpeldor. There are a large range of animals to view here, including meerkats and cavys. It is great for children of all ages as it is a fun and educational environment. The zoo has plenty of pretty and well-kept green areas that makes it very attractive for tourists. Sokolov Beach is located slightly south of the centre of Nahariya city. It is considered to be family friendly because of the shallow waters as well as lifeguards being present in the busy summer months. 4. Byzantine Church
Byzantine Church is located to the east of the city. It contains an amazing mosaic type flooring that was found in 1964, featuring more than 16 different colours. This specific church is seen as being the largest and most charming church in the Western Galilee area of Israel. 5. The Sculpture Park Centre/Municipality Library
Both the Sculpture Park Centre and the Municipality Library are located near to the Municipality Library to the north of the city of Nahariya. The park centre contains some of the best unique sculptures to be viewed made from all different types of materials - great for art lovers! The library has an incredible interior which is very modern and up-to-date in nature. There is also a special room where you can take part in a range of sensory type activities featuring different colours, lights and moving imagery. 6. Rosh Hanikra Sea Reserve
The Rosh Hanikra Sea Reserve is located to the north of Nahariya city centre. This reserve features an incredible rock formation that lies between the border of Israel and Lebanon. It is definitely considered to be family friendly due to the train and cable cars available to ride on to take a tour of the reserve, which usually lasts for around 40 minutes. There is also a restaurant located on-site to grab a light lunch for a quick pitstop, observing the glorious views as you rest.

7. Keshet Cave
Keshet Cave is located to the north east of the city near to Idmit, close to the Galilee. Also known as the Rainbow Cave or Arch Cave, this wonderful place offers incredible hiking opportunities to suit all levels of experience - including those with disabilities. In addition, the Bezet stream runs through the area featuring spectacular scenery for visitors all year round. A wide variety of wildlife is available to view around the area including goats. 8. Nahal Kziv
Nahal Kziv is a 12 mile (20 km) long stream found in the Upper Galilee, located to the east of Nahariya city centre. There are plenty of wildlife and plants to view here, such as the rare striped hyena and ferns, respectively. A path is located nearby for walks close to the stream, which is considered to be one of the prettiest trails in the whole of Israel.
For history enthuasiasts, Montfont Castle is nearby to the stream on the South side, spanning from Mount Meron to Achziv. A stone carving of a man is also available to visit, which is located close to where the stream fills in Nahal Kziv.

9. Hanita Forest
Hanita Forest is located to the north east of the city of Nahariya. The forest spans over 0.8 miles (1.2 kilometers) with a top height of 100-400 metres. Make the most of the stunning scenery here by visiting and enjoying the Hanita viewpoint, which offers incredible views of the forest. There are also outdoor picnic areas available for use to fully take in the experience. To interest history buffs, an on-site museum - the Hanita Museum - showing the site’s past events, is located here. You can also visit the reconstruction of the tower site of 1938, spanning from Hanita to Shlomi.
