Caloocan is a city located in the southern part of the Philippines. In 2015, the annual census confirmed that at that point Caloocan had around 1.5 million people, quite densely populated. On the flip side, it is actually the fourth most populated city in the Philippines - that gives you an idea of how many people you will be interacting with, here.
This town is a culturally and historically vital part of the Philippines. If you look in the history books, Caloocan (written as Kalookan in the national language) was actually where the secret military was initiated and used to hold secret meetings during the war when the Spaniards tried to conquer the Philippines. Kind of cool huh? Now let me fill you in on the good stuff.

4. Dining at Greenwich Pizza, Vikings, Mister Kabab and others
There are many beautiful and inexpensive fine dining restaurants in Caloocan where you can indulge your taste buds, to the max. First of all, let’s talk about Filipino cuisine - it is amazing. Of course, we can’t cover all the top restaurants here, so instead I will bring you my top five.
Greenwich is a pizza restaurant in Caloocan that you should not pass on. Then we have Mister Kabab which serves Middle Eastern, Persian and Mediterranean food -this one is one of my favorites. The third is Leoning’s Pancit Palabok where you will get some of the best Filipino and Asian food. Fourth on the list is KALBOrger’s Vicas Branch, which has not only received excellent reviews but has great food.
I had to save the best for last - Vikings. This joint is easily one of the best restaurants you will ever visit. It is appropriate for vegetarians and has an options for gluten-free meals. Before you leave Caloocan, be sure to visit these lovely restaurants.
