The Prague Astronomical Clock is part of the Old Town Hall, which built back in 1338. Also known as Orloj, the giant clock rings between 9am to 11pm, where clockwork versions of the Twelve Apostles appear in a short procession. Viewing from the street is free, but you can also witness the spectacle as part of the Old Town Hall tour.

The clock itself was built in 1410, nearly a hundred years after the town hall. Apart from the Apostles, the clock also features a calendar as well as astronomical desk. It also has other automatons such as a skeleton as well as a pair of sinners.

Trying out the local food is always a must when you’re traveling to any country! Vepřo knedlo zelo, is the food the Czech Republic is known for, and also their national dish. It consists of pork roast with bread dumplings and fermented cabbage.

The amount of flavors and texture you get to enjoy in this dish is certainly outstanding. The pork is often roasted in the oven and served with plain or flavored bread dumplings and sauerkraut. This is something you shouldn’t miss as you can commonly find the dish in every traditional restaurant in Czech.
