Bring the whole family or your whole crew to play favorite sports like volleyball, basketball, soccer, baseball, and disc golf. The park even has a playground for the kids. Azle Historical Museum is a two-story building filled with photos, documents, artifacts and memorabilia of the history of Azle. Byra Stribling, B.J. Clark, Paul Worthen, and Beatrice Carter were the four instigators who came up with the idea of establishing a museum in honor of Azle’s past. The museum was established in 1976 and has since then relied on membership funds and occasional fundraisers. The museum is only open on Saturdays though so be sure to check out their website for more details.

4. Go skating at Azle Central Park

Yup, Azle has its very own Central Park. Not to be confused with the famous one in New York, Azle Central Park offers a variety of amenities for many to enjoy. There are basketball and volleyball courts for sports enthusiasts. A walking trail is also available for people who wish to jog and burn some calories. There’s also a playground for the kids, a skate park for adrenaline junkies, a pavilion and gazebo for relaxing, and an amphitheater for mini-concerts. When in Texas, it’s best to go camping the way the locals do it - in an RV! Bring your RV and camp in this neat camping ground complete with full hook-ups including water, electricity, and WiFi. They conveniently have over 30 sites for their guests. They even have a laundry area for your washing needs. However, guests must also take note that Frontier RV Park doesn’t allow dogs and pets on the premises so your furry family members will have to stick this one out. Fort Worth Anglers Club is a members-only camping grounds. It’s a great place to spend time with your family among welcoming members. Pecan Acres RV Park is a 9-acre (3.6-hectare) campsite where you can bring your RVs and go camping Texas-style. Ain’t That Something is a quaint little antique shop in Azle. Owner Marie Annette Kisner is very much hands-on with her store which is a treasure hunter’s paradise. These may range from but are not limited to furniture, glassware, clothing, ceramics, toys, books, jewelry, photographs, artworks, and many more. Another great family-owned restaurant is Moe’s Country Kitchen. They don’t offer anything too fancy except only the best customer service and yummy food. Previous visitors best described the place as old school in terms of the ambiance. A lot of the folks that dine here are in their seniors so that could be an explanation too. It’s the place to go if you’re looking for comfort home-cooked meals and warm people. Out of the entire menu, the favorite of many is their breakfast menu so be sure to stop by in the morning for your breakfast fix.
