There’s practically one on every corner. No, not Starbucks! This is LA, so it must be taco trucks.

Fast, cheap, and delicious, tacos from a truck have found a permanent place in the hearts of Los Angeles’ population. Whether you’re looking to grab a quick bite on your lunch hour or yearning for an adventurous late night snack, taco trucks have quickly become part of the LA lifestyle. So, here’s a list of the 10 best taco trucks in Los Angeles.

1. Tacos Los Guichos

Tacos Los Guichos is a long-standing taco truck known for its al pastor, the thinly-sliced seasoned pork shoulder. The trick to making Tacos Los Guichos’ pork so heavenly good is in the preparation; slow-cooked in a stainless steel vat, with a subtle blend of spices, until it’s so tender it falls off the bone. The al pastor is served only on the weekends and is so popular Tacos Los Guichos has taken to selling it by the pound (kilogram) to keep taco addicts satisfied. But, Tacos Los Guichos isn’t all about the al pastor. On most weeknights, Tacos Los Guichos is cooking well-seasoned carne asada and cuts of crimson red chorizo.

2. Tacos El Korita

Spot a brightly colored purple truck in East LA and you’ve found Tacos El Korita. Armed with a tortilla press and a pile of raw masa in the truck, Tacos El Korita is ready to make the freshest tortillas for your tacos. The al pastor is cut from a spit and is heavily seasoned, and the juice of Tacos El Korita’s carne asada soaks nicely into the tortilla it occupies. The red sauce is light, very flavorful, and packs plenty of heat. If you want a milder sauce the salsa verde is a wonderful smoky mix of tomatillo, garlic, and mild chile.

But it has made a distinct impression offering delicious tacos, as well as burritos, quesadillas and a lot more. The Oaxacan-style tacos are unique and flavorful, served in humongous homemade tortillas, with either steamed pork head or thinly sliced beef and slathered with black beans, avocado, salsa, and cabbage.
