The John Blue House is an iconic part of Scotland and is one that marks the rich history of rural Scotland. When it comes to rural Scotland, the John Blue House shows a clear cut picture of what post-civil war North Carolina was like. With its 18th-century architecture intact, the Mississipi boats have managed to preserve its intricate double circular porches, decorative ornaments that were personally handcrafted by Mr. John Blue himself. The interiors of the ancestral house boast 90% of the house’s original stained glass windows, with twelve of the rooms and exterior doors still in tip-top shape.
