Bermuda Carnival: Traditionally held in June, Bermuda Carnival is a four-day festival that involves DJ parties, live performances, and fun theme parties. Revel de Road is perhaps its most famous section held on the final day of the carnival where members of three important ‘Bands’ of the carnival take to the streets in elaborate costumes. I’m sure the carnival will make for a colorful entry in my journal!
Bermuda Day: This national holiday is celebrated with great pomp, especially in the capital city of Hamilton. You shouldn’t miss the finale of the Bermuda Day Parade when Bermuda Gombeys (a cultural art form famous for its beautiful costumes) descend upon the streets of Hamilton for a fantastic dance performance. Bermuda Day falls on the Friday before the last Monday in May.
