2. Ole Kirk's House
At one time Ole Kirk was a struggling toymaker who only made wooden toys. Eventually he saved his company by introducing interlocking bricks known as Lego. Ole Kirk’s House in Billund is a historical site, and it’s run by the Lego Group. Any fan of history and Lego will want to see this old stone house in person. This is were Lego began.

3. The Lego House
Right across from Ole Kirk’s House is the Lego House, which is a massive and sprawling museum that holds nearly every Lego set ever made. If you want to learn everything about Lego then this is the place to go. There is even a gourmet restaurant in the museum. The Lego House is slated to open at the end of September 2017. You can order tickets online for this one of a kind museum. There’s also a cafe and family restaurant. Giant cities made of Lego by extremely talented designers are also on display here. This is another theme park in Billund that gives Legoland a run for its money. Ice and snow is the theme here, and there’s even an indoor ski slope. You can go skating or play Ice bumper cars. 6. Old Grocer's Shop
In nearby Randbøldal, which is only 15 minutes by car from Billund, you will find a museum that’s meant to give you a look at what life was like over 100 years ago. Shopping for groceries was very different than it is now. The Old Grocer’s Shop shows what small merchant shops in Denmark used to be like. Take a trip back to 1897 when you visit the quaint and historic Old Grocer’s Shop. Afterwards, enjoy some sweets in the courtyard cafe behind the museum. You can even buy Denmark’s famous aquavit alcohol here.

7. Kongernes Jelling
Vikings explored the world before many others. They were the ones who really discovered America, and if you want to learn about Vikings then Kongernes Jelling is the place to visit. You can take in the picturesque views and learn about the ancient Viking ruins that are showcased at this museum. A museum about Vikings? It doesn’t get much more Scandinavian than that. Jelling is just 25 minutes from Billund by car.

8. Givskud Zoo
Givskud Zoo is full of excitement. There is an actual safari park here that you can drive through, and there is even a fantastic Dinosaur park with statues so realistic that you will think you went 65 million years in the past.
