Finding cheap accommodations in Copenhagen can be a hassle. That is why we’ve prepared a list of the top 10 budget hotels in Copenhagen’s city centre that promises convenience and comfort without blowing a hole in your budget.
Copenhagen’s illustrious history, its status as a capital city, and its vital coastal and road links between Scandinavia and central Europe mean it has always been a bustling place. That’s part of the city’s charm. But this means that demand for hotel rooms can be high. And, if you’re on something of a budget, trying to find a great place to stay in the heart of the city without blowing your hard earned cash is a tricky balance.
Here are 10 central Copenhagen hotels which won’t leave you penniless before you’ve even set foot outside your room.

However, its proximity to the Strøget shopping street and city nightlife spots means that there are plenty of other options in the surrounding area. Cycles can also be rented at the hotel for an easy and quick way to travel around Copenhagen.

This one, Cabinn City, is located right in the heart of the city, just a short walk away from the city’s Central Station and the famous Tivoli Gardens, a 19th century amusement park and pleasure garden that has been running for nearly 175 years. The hotel offers a continental breakfast and also has vending machines, but no restaurant; however, its central location means there are plenty of options available and staff will also point you in the right direction. 10. Cabinn Express
Another of Cabinn’s nautical-style hotels, Cabinn Express is located just under a mile (2.6 km) away from Tivoli Gardens in the Frederiksberg area. A metro station just a short walk away means the site is well connected with other parts of the city and, should you choose to walk, it is only 15 minutes to the Rådhuspladsen (City Hall Square).
As with other Cabinn Hotels on the list, it includes free Wi-Fi as standard and much of the same guest facilities. One big difference though is the parking. Unlike Cabinn City, which is closer to the heart of things, parking is much cheaper at Cabinn Express. Whereas it will set you back 180 DKK (roughly 28 USD) in Cabinn City, here it will cost you less than half that per day at 80 DKK (or slightly less than 13 USD). Couple that with the marginally cheaper room rate, and you stand to make reasonable savings if you opt for here.
