Krabi Emerald Pool

When you're in Krabi, it is highly recommended for you to just take a break from the beaches and head to their very famous Emerald Pool, located in Khlong Tham. Situated in the already famous Khao Phra Bang Khram Nature Reserve, that is also home to Krabi's natural hot springs, the Emerald Pool is a natural large pool filled with ambient temperature spring water. To reach the pool would be to access the trails through the Khao Nor Chu Chi forest. Through the trails, you will also come across the park's unique aquatic system that is fed by the abundant sea water. There are also many mini-pools, waterfalls, and streams as well as the tropical plants and trees.

Also, if you have time, visit the Blue Pool, located about 600m (1969 feet) upstream from Emerald Pool. Compared with Emerald Pool, the water in this pool is hotter. Also, it is surrounded by quicksand which means that no swimming is allowed here!
