5 Day Colorado Tour
Embark on a 5 day private round trip tour of Colorado from the Front Range driving over the San Juan Range which is one of the over 100 ranges in the Rockies, and onto the Western Slope! Vistas of the Eastern plains, sizzling hot springs, snow capped mountain tops, Chrystal water falls, breathtaking canyons, the Colorado River and ski resort towns await your arrival! We can hike, climb, swim, explore and just marvel at the “state of color” or COLORADO!
DAY 1
DAY 1 -
Depart from Denver area and head to Durango.
DAY 2
DAY 2 -
- Durango to Silverton on the DSNG, Durango Silverton Narrow Gage rail.
- Lunch in Silverton.
- Dinner in Durango.
DAY 3
DAY 3 -
- Day trip to Mesa Verde National Park.
- We will tour the park, see cliff dwellings from the Ancestral Puebloans, early pit house habitats and lunch on top of the mesa.
- Ending in Durango for a personal afternoon of exploration.
DAY 4
DAY 4 -
- Depart for Glenwood Springs.
- We will drive through the volcanic grounds of the San Juan Mountains which are over 14,000'
- Stop in Montrose for lunch and a few hours of exploration.
- Overnight in Glenwood Springs.
DAY 5
DAY 5 -
- After breakfast, enjoy the mineral pools or vapor caves of Glenwood Springs.
- After lunch, we will cruise Glenwood Canyon, carved by the Colorado River during the Pleistocene era for an afternoon in Vail
- Arrive back to Denver vicinity by dinner time.
