Banaue

2 days

This is a 2-day, 1-night tour where we’ll help you witness and discover the Eighth Wonder of the World, the Banaue Rice Terraces.

DAY 1

DAY 1 - Pula and Cambulo Trek

Pula and Cambulo Trek

This trek is one of the most beautiful and famous treks in Banaue. It’s a 19-kilometer (11-mile) trek that connects two of the remote villages in Banaue. We’ll pass through the tropical jungle so you can see beautiful vegetation, the mountain formations, and the famous rice terraces in the area. We’ll stay overnight in Cambulo, close to the villages, in a local homestay. In the late afternoon, we’ll have a chance to walk around the village for you to witness the local way of living. For night-time activities, the local kids will be happy to share a welcome dance or cultural show.

DAY 2

DAY 2 - Batad Rice Terraces

Batad Rice Terraces

After breakfast, we’ll continue the trek to Batad for you to witness the most famous rice terraces ever built. The Batad Amphitheatre Rice Terraces were built 2,000 years ago. These are the biggest rice terraces in the region. We’ll walk around the place to enjoy the view and have a break so you can take in the surroundings. We’ll also head to Batad waterfalls to chill down after a long walk. After the waterfalls, we’ll walk through the villages to visit the locals, who will be happy to welcome us to their place.

Additional activities:

Pounding of rice. Trying the rice wine. Planting the rice. Visiting the ancient settlement.

After these activities, we’ll drive back to Banaue and walk around the city. Then you can refresh and have dinner before returning to Manila by bus or private transport.

Good things are meant to be shared!
