Highlights of Istanbul
Istanbul was the capital of great civilisations through the history. Each empires of these civilisations contributed stunning remains to Istanbul heritage.
Historical peninsula, as a UNESCO site, hosts great buildings around. That provides us a great opportunity to visit all the highlights of Istanbul!
DAY 1
DAY 1 -
I take you to the most visited areas to see iconic buildings to sail into the historical stories.
Hippodromme is the first place to see in our tour. Because, the oldest pieces that you can see in this tour are in this square. Egyptian obelisk, Serpentine column and German fountain welcomes us at the beginning of our tour.
After that, we go to Blue Mosque to see a nice example of imperial mosques of the city.
After Blue Mosque, we’re heading to Hagia Sophia which is 1500 years old. It was constructed as a church but converted into mosque in the next centuries.
Topkapi Palace is the next one to see a nice example of an oriental palaces.
After we see the palace that hosts sultans and royal family, we go to Basilica Cistern where is a huge sized water tank that is located underneath.
The last stop is Grand Bazaar. We go there to get lost in narrow streets of this oldest shopping mall of the world.
