Lucca - Half day tour
Each city in Tuscany has its own special character and flavor. Lucca is quiet, green, and full of churches, squares, and alleys. It’s here that you can taste the most eclectic cuisine in Tuscany, hear classical music at every turn, or walk around the best-preserved fortified walls in Europe.
If you need a relaxation from overcrowded Florence and want to see something lesser known, a walk in Lucca is for you.
I will try to introduce you to the history and character of this city and tell you about its traditions, curiosities, food, and key figures.
DAY 1
DAY 1 -
During the three-hour tour, you will discover:
- The oldest cathedral in Tuscany and one of the most beautiful tomb monuments of the Middle Ages
- The Baptistery
- Napoleon Square with the interesting Ducal Palace
- St. Michael's Square with a Romanesque church with an amazing facade
- The family home of composer Giacomo Puccini
- Amphitheater square
- St. Frediano square and church
- The city walls
- The city's typical desserts and signature dishes
- Hidden squares and much more.
We will enter the cathedral and possibly the Church of San Frediano or the Baptistery for a fee. The cost of tickets ranges from 3 to 10 euros per adult, depending on the option chosen.
