Tasman Peninsula

8 hours

We share the stories, the Historical and the resilience of this wild and wholly Peninsula. With a spectacular morning walk, (3.5hrs return). Guests and I will be equipped with gourmet picnics and our walking gear to share some of Tasmania’s rugged coastline. With continuous eye perspectives on the surrounding landscape, but also looking out for the wildlife, we go in search for a perfect picnic stop, once at our quiet beach location.

Once we return, its time for guests to go back in time to discover our deep historical past. We will have many opportunities to share these stories, as we pass and stop to realise the events, locations and local legends. On our way back to Hobart if time permits we can stop for a cold local beverage.

This tour also can be customised to guests needs and interests.

This is a day itinerary, which starts at 730 or 8am. with Hobart accommodation pickup. We head out to the Tasman Peninsula and the trail head.

Spend 3.5hrs on trail and amongst the wild, to discover Tasmanian’s native landscape.

Customised options are available at this point, however Port Arthur is a must for all first timers.

For those not interested in the Historical sites, we can make other plans for the afternoon. Such as, an animal sanctuary, distillery or winery. Not to mention fine chocolate and ice cream.

Tasmania

Ben was an outstanding tour guide. The combination of his history of the island and the city, combined with his excellent knowledge of where to go to see the best of the area, created an outstanding visit and day. We always book private guides as we travel, and Ben ranks among the best. Our only regret -- we wish we had more time! We can't wait to return to Hobart and explore the city and region further ... and Ben will be the first person we call.
