The essentials: from Alfama to Chiado
If it’s your first day in the city, this tour is for you! It will help you get to know the city center, its incredible history, main squares and monuments.
Some of the highlights: Miradouro Portas do Sol, Alfama, Cathedral, Praça do Comercio, Elevador de Santa Justa, Convento do Carmo.
DAY 1
DAY 1 -
We will start from the heart of Alfama with an amazing view (Portas do Sol terrace) of the old town, continuing in its alleys and windy streets while learning many stories about this neighborhood - might meet some locals and try a typical liquor!
We’ll stop at the Cathedral and at the church of St. Anthony.
We’ll move down to Baixa, Praça do Comercio, and we’ll walk through the popular Rua Augusta until Rossio square - what about a quick break for a warm Pastel de Nata?
We’ll end in front of Convento do Carmo and the beautiful Elevador de Santa Justa!
