Built in the Showa period, the building was originally the home of an American prosecutor. As many tourists would come to take pictures of the building’s exterior, he would invite them in to his house for tea. This tradition has continued until today, where visitors can dine in the same antique-filled rooms. Popular menu items include the rare cheesecake and the cherry sandwich cookies, which can also be taken home.
