1. Embark on a Dhow Cruise

Along Al Corniche Street, there is Doha Port area, where a large number of traditional dhows (Arabian ships), fishing boats, and working boats are moored. Visitors can buy fresh fish directly from fishermen in the morning, with cheaper prices than in the market.

From the afternoon until midnight, you can cruise Doha Bay in a dhow for about 30 minutes and it costs around 25 QAR (approximately 6.86 USD) per person. The interesting thing about a dhow cruise is that the dhow captain decorates his dhow with colorful small lamps and turns on Indian or Arabic music to accompany you along the 30-minute cruise.

2. Visit the Museum Of Islamic Art

The Museum of Islamic Art has become one of the most famous landmarks in Qatar. In the building, you can not only visit the museum, but you can also attend the art exhibition with works from local and international artists.

Inside, you can see collections from Egypt, Turkey, Iraq, Iran, other parts of the Middle East, and other countries that are connected to Qatar and have Islamic histories. You’ll see things such as artifacts, ceramics, calligraphy, and a lot more. After visiting the Museum of Islamic Art, you can take a rest at the restaurant inside the building while enjoying the views of Doha Corniche and Doha Bay.

The Museum of Islamic Art is closed every Tuesday. It opens on Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday at 10.30 AM to 5.30 PM, Friday at 2 PM to 8 PM, and Saturday at 12 noon to 8 PM.

3. Play in Al Rumaila Park

Al Rumaila Park, also known as Al Bidda Park, is a long rectangular-shaped park on Corniche Street and it is one of the oldest parks in Doha. This park provides a place for friends and families to relax on green grass around the park. At the center of the park is a water canal and several small shops selling local crafts.

The facilities of the park include a half-pipe for skating, skateboarding, a play area for toddlers, equipment for older children, such as swings, plastic slides, and a sandy surface. There are also two kiosks that sell a variety of snacks, burgers, sandwiches, soft drinks, tea, coffee and ice cream.

4. Stroll and jog along the walkway

Beautiful views and a long walkway near the sea make Doha Corniche a comfortable place to refresh your body and mind. Green grass on the other side, complete with date trees, gives you another perspective other than the sea. You can exercise, jog or just stroll along the wide walkway in the morning or afternoon, when the weather is not really hot.

5. Having lunch or dinner at a restaurant visited by royalty, celebrities and diplomats
