The Caribbean is known for its calming turquoise waters and its pristine beaches. Its proximity to the United States also makes it an ideal destination for some sun and relaxation should it become colder in the Northern Hemisphere. Enter Turks & Caicos – a group of island chains, which is part of the British West Indies. Turks & Caicos is yet to be commercialized, which presents tourists with plenty of opportunities to calmly explore the island.

A condominium unit of your own
When choosing a beach destination for a vacation, you can opt for an all-inclusive resort, with all your meals catered for you, or foray into the boutique hotel sector. The Inn at Grace Bay is considered a boutique hotel, and it gives you tremendous value for your money. Most hotel rooms only offer a bed, a chair, TV, and your bathroom as part of your booking; however, at the Inn at Grace Bay, every room is a suite. Each suite is equipped with your own living and dining area, balcony, and kitchenette, complete with utensils, plates, pans, pots, and your very own dishwasher.
The Inn at Grace Bay also offers free breakfast from Mondays to Saturdays between 8 to 9AM by the pool area if you are not up to cooking. The breakfast is not a buffet breakfast, but rather some pastries and treats from a local grocery and coffee brewed from a Keurig machine. The menu changes every day, depending on what’s in season or what is available from the bakery. Eating out in Providenciales can fetch a pretty penny, as almost everything is imported from the U.S. or the U.K., so having these self-catering and free breakfast options at your boutique hotel can be much cheaper than an all-inclusive resort.
To top it all off, you have your own washer & dryer unit on site, perfect for further forays on the beach or for those who intend on staying longer in the hotel.
A stroll to Grace Bay and a pool-front view
What is Providenciales without going to Grace Bay? Voted one of the world’s top beaches, the Inn at Grace Bay is a comfortable 5 minute walk to the beach. The hotel is not oceanfront, so it provides some chairs for you to bring to the beach if you intend to spend a day lounging in the sun and the lovely white sand.
Grace Bay is not so crowded; just walk along the beach to find a place to call your own. If the salt water is getting a bit much, there is a pool to enjoy at the Inn at Grace Bay – complete with umbrellas and deck chairs to sit in. If you don’t fancy getting out of your room, then enjoy the view from your own sun beds at your balcony. Truly the options for lounging and relaxing are endless at this hotel.
Regent Village - Shops and dining
If you’re in the mood for some non-beach strolling and shopping, there is a charming little village of shops, bars and restaurants called Regent Village right next to the hotel. There are several gift shops with some nice items for sale, like a bell painted with a Turks & Caicos map, and various plates, mugs, t-shirts, and magnets, all having to do with a Caribbean theme. If you’re hungry, do stop by Melt, a lovely ice cream parlor (where you can also grab some drinks), or the Turkberry frozen yogurt shop, both within a 10 minute walk from your front door of the hotel.
Grace Bay - Relaxation and greatvValue for money
Whether your trip to Providenciales is a family vacation, or a couples retreat, the Inn at Grace Bay can definitely cater to both sets of travelers. It’s got a great home away from home feel, excellent value, and close proximity to the beach. The food can be expensive at restaurants, but there is a grocery store within a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel, Graceway Gourmet, which has everything from fresh fruits and vegetables to meats, seafood, and bread. This is a great option to cook a fresh meal and save some money, while also getting some snacks and drinks. Compared to the lively energy of Cancun, Mexico or Nassau, Bahamas, Providenciales is not dominated with resorts on every square block of sand, and is a terrific place to relax and unwind.
