Foodies, rejoice, the Gingerbread House Bakery, in Frisco, is definitely not your ordinary bakery. Their cakes, bread, pastries and cookies are all made from scratch, on-site, every day and served during breakfast. The bakery then closes and reopens for dinner, when, on top of baked goodies, they also add a salad and pizza menu.
Here comes the truly remarkable detail: the pizza dough is also made from scratch, right here. You can enjoy a traditional or seafood pizza here or order it to go. The menu also includes more traditional items, such as eggs, milkshakes, French toast and other desserts.

4. Frisco Beach
Frisco Beach is known as one of the best beaches in the area, where beachgoers can even walk for 100 feet (30.5 meters) into the ocean, with their feet never leaving the ground. Spot shells that wash up on shore or the Frisco Pier, that advances into the ocean and can easily be seen from anywhere on the beach.
As you will notice, the pier is fragmented, after having been repeatedly damaged by a series of hurricanes. Currently, there is no plan to rebuild it, which in a way makes it even more attractive to tourists, because you can witness the effects Mother Nature has, on the area.

5. Frisco Art Center
The work of over 75 local and North Carolina artists is gathered at the Frisco Art Center, in their three art galleries. One of the main reasons this place is definitely worth a visit is that it has a great mission to support the arts and young artists. The art here is made of wood, glass, ceramics and even sea glass.
If you’re visiting before Christmas, make sure you stop at their Christmas shop, for a variety of handcrafted ornaments.

6. Red Drum Pottery
If you feel like shopping, make a stop at Red Drum Pottery, a quaint little shop where you will find locally made products, ranging from jewelry, pottery and even bags and soap. The experience isn’t limited to shopping, though. You can also enjoy a freshly roasted and brewed cup of coffee, or try painting some pottery of your own.

One of the must-try water activities in Frisco is boat fishing and a great way to do it is with Captain Doug Martin of Hallelujah Charters, who’s been doing this for years. He will not only help you catch your dinner but will also make the time enjoyable, with fun fishing stories and facts about the area.
Depending on the month you decide to try fishing in Frisco, you can catch anything from Cobia, Black Drum, Bluefish to Gray Trout, Red Drum, Flounder and much more. Don’t forget to bring food and drinks, sunscreen, a jacket, a small cooler and, of course, the camera!

8. Hatteras Island
Frisco is just a small part of Hatteras Island, but the entire area is worth a visit, for its pristine beaches and many opportunities for fishing, paddleboarding, kitesurfing, kayaking, jet skiing and more. One of the island’s landmarks is the Cape Hatteras Light, which dates back to the 1800s. As many things in the area, this too has been rebuilt, in 1870, and is now 1350 feet (411.5 meters) closer to the beach, due to decades of storms and erosion.
Another must-see in Hatteras is the Cape Hatteras National Seashore, that stretches over 70 miles (112.7 km) and is great for spotting wildlife, boating and windsurfing.
