Beach Rock Village is a guest house with “Delicious! Fun! Feels good!” in mind. It is far away from the conventions of the developed parts of the island, and far in the mountains.

“Experiencing the great outdoors” is the attribute of this facility, and they are serious about it here.

First off, electricity is 100% solar power here. Organic waste is turned into fertilizer in a compost tank, and used to grow healthy veggies. Also, rain water is collected and used for the garden, and toilet, something unthinkable in modern day Japan, all conveniences are removed from the facilities.

Feel free like a bird in the treehouse!

The little shack in the picture is a treehouse. Like the ones you probably have grown up with but better. When you step in you can fully experience what it is to live amongst nature and can enjoy the woods completely.

Another topic that Beach Rock Village likes to promote is the quality of the guest facilities. The “Nature Cottage” powered 100% by nature, “Nomad style tents” and a “Campsite where you can stay freely” are some of them, but the amazing thing is all of them are hand built.

The toilets and showers are communal but you receive an amenities set, and towels. Every guest facility and room comes with a fan, a light, and some outlets for those who can’t go without some modern trappings such as cell phones.

The people who run this place are doing it out of their love for meeting travelers, being wrapped in star filled nights, and feeling the clean mountain breeze on them.

The people running this are also avid travelers, so they know all the hidden getaways in Okinawa and love talking about traveling the world and are willing to tell you about some of their favorite destinations.

For those that aren’t able to stay as guests, rest assured. At Beach Rock Village there is a café and a bar, which anyone can come and enjoy.

The café’s main selling point is that it is a “Tree Terrace Café”. Surprisingly there is a café built “into” a tree, and you can have your meal surrounded by nature! You can see Okinawa’s beautiful oceans, skies, and forests all around you. It is a luxurious experience.

There are also spaces such as the “Tent Bar”, the “Open Terrace & Sofa Lounge”, to choose your favorite spot to enjoy your meal!

Taste the delicious self-sufficient food!

All the food at Beach Rock Village is made from local produce and focuses on veggies and fruits grown here. Amongst the menu is the most popular item, the “Oven Baked Pizza”. Pizza starts from 1200 JPY, salads are from 400 JPY making these all affordable for a real organic meal.

For staying guests, breakfast and dinner meals are provided as a service in the café, so if you have time to stay it is worth it. Café time: 11am to 5pm
