Affordable prices for a wide choice of rooms
Standard double and twin rooms cost around 350,000 VND (approximately 15.50 USD) per night, and Superior double and twin rooms cost around 540,000 VND (approximately 24 USD) per night. If you’re travelling as part of an intrepid trio there are Standard Triple rooms, with either a queen-sized bed and a single bed or three single beds, for a nightly price of around 522,000 VND (approximately 23 USD). Superior Triple rooms, also with three single beds, are around 685,000 VND (approximately 30.50 USD) for a night’s stay.
Rooms for four people, with two double beds, are available for around 715,000 VND (approximately 32 USD) (Standard option) or 832,000 VND (approximately 37 USD) (Superior option) per night.
If you’re really trying to cut costs, you could opt for a bed in a shared six-bed dormitory for around 150,000 VND (approximately 6.50 USD) for a night. The dormitories are mixed gender and have three sets of bunk beds.
Good room facilities and high standards of comfort
Each room, including the dormitories, has its own private bathroom with hot water, towels, and a hair dryer. You can choose whether to use the electric fan or air-conditioning to keep cool.
Private rooms, both Standard and Superior, have a selection of mini toiletries, a refrigerator, cable TV with a variety of local and international channels, and a telephone. Furnishings include the bed(s), a bedside table, and a desk with a chair. Whereas Standard rooms have a large window, Superior rooms have a small private balcony in addition to the window. Some rooms have bathtubs; all have showers.
Rooms are clean and well-maintained. Small decorative touches, such as attractive pictures, artificial flowers, and brightly coloured bed runners, create a warm and welcoming feeling.
Onsite restaurant with a diverse selection of dishes
There is a restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel where all guests can enjoy an inclusive buffet breakfast each morning. Breakfast options include different types of fresh bread and crunchy cereals, various sweet jams, fruit, fruit juices, and tea and coffee.
The restaurant serves a tasty selection of domestic and international cuisine at other times throughout the day. The extensive menu includes Western favourites, such as sandwiches and burgers, popular Vietnamese dishes like pho (a type of noodle soup), and local specialities from Hoi An. Dishes from Hoi An include dumplings and noodles. The vegetable spring rolls are particularly recommended; with just the right amount of outer crunchiness and fillings that are bursting with flavour, they are really delicious.
Other hotel facilities and services to help you enjoy your stay
Hoa Binh Hotel has a small indoor swimming pool. Small really does mean small though – don’t be expecting to work on your butterfly stroke or work off all that delicious Vietnamese food by swimming lengths! The pool is perhaps around two metres wide and approximately three and a half metres long. The water is also really cold; the pool is not heated and being inside means that it doesn’t get the benefit of the warming Vietnamese sun.
If you provide relevant details in advance, the hotel will arrange to collect you when you arrive in Hoi An. There is no charge for this service, but it only applies to visitors who arrive by bus. You need to tell the hotel the bus company that you are travelling with, along with the date and expected time of arrival. You can also arrange to be collected from Da Nang Train Station (the closest train station to Hoi An) for an additional fee.
You can arrange various sightseeing trips at the hotel’s reception, such as walking tours of the Old Town, to the Cham ruins of My Son (remains from the ancient Champa Kingdom that date back to between the 4th and 14th century AD.), and to the majestic Marble Mountains.
The friendly members of staff can also assist with booking onward transportation.
Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the hotel.
Quiet location close to many major points of interest
Many of Hoi An’s interesting gems can be reached within just a few minutes by foot. These include the pretty Japanese Covered Bridge, with its guardian stone monkey and dog, the heritage houses of Quan Thang, Tan Ky, and Phung Hung, Quan Cong Temple, and the Hokkien Meeting Hall.
Stroll along the lovely riverside, admiring the unusual sculptures that are anchored in the river and the crumbling colonial architecture that overlooks the water. The riverside is especially attractive at night time, when bright lights from the statues, lanterns, and fairy lights seem to dance on the shimmering water. Peruse the many items available in the large market and maybe treat yourself to a few new custom-made garments at one of the numerous tailoring shops.
The beaches of Cua Dai and An Bang are around a five minute drive away. You can hop in a taxi, jump on a motorbike taxi, or rent a bicycle or scooter (many outlets around Hoi An) to get to the beaches.
Book your stay at Hoa Binh Hotel for a great time in quaint Hoi An.
