It might smell and taste like an orange but Sankt Gallen’s Shonan Shonan Gold is a crafted beer with an alcohol level of 6 percent. You will love this drink as soon as you get it opened when the pungency of the orange hits you. The sweet taste of orange does not last long until a slight bitterness comes through. The beer goes very well with a heavy dessert including cheesecake, but this is not the type of drink you can consume daily.

Suruga Bay Imperial IPA is a local favourite India pale ale which is dry-hopped with flower cones during production and then krausened while packaging. The ale pours moderately and features a cloudy deep orange colour with a white head with good retention leaving a light spotty soapy lacing to cling around the glass. As you take your first sip, you will love the aroma of grapefruit, pineapple, pine, and apple. The medium carbonation with a very smooth and lightly creamy mouthfeel is just amazing. The taste of alcohol is subtle, only leaving you with a slight alcohol taste after you are done drinking. Overall this is a nice IPA and a very enjoyable offering.
