High above the Town of Telluride, Colorado sits Mountain Village. This collection of condos, shops, restaurants, and homes sprung up as the ski area and the town became famous. Mountain Lodge is the best place to stay if you desire a homestyle lodging arrangement.

The condos are individually owned and are managed by a hotel-like reception area and lobby. The main building is a stunning post and beam log structure, fitting in perfectly with the mountain splendor. In the main building, find a swimming pool, hot pool, restaurant, and bar.

Even though the accommodation provided a discounted rate, this is not a sponsored post and the writer’s opinions are his own.

Room choices

The Mountain Lodge offers several lodging choices to fit your needs. A junior suite provides a small kitchen, two-sided fireplace, large bedroom, king size bed, balcony, and can sleep two–four adults. A one-bedroom suite comes with all of the amenities of the junior suite but adds a full kitchen for those who plan on preparing their own meals. Two-bedroom suites and three-bedroom suites add more space for bigger groups and families. All of these suites offer a home-like lodging option for those who want to eschew a typical hotel.

Mountain Lodge is family-friendly, and young children love hanging out at the pool. Just steps from the lodge are a Frisbee golf course to challenge your skills with your children. Down in the valley, find a reasonably easy bike path, or try the Mountain Village Bike Park with its intermediate and expert trails. Horseback riding and fishing are other summer activities nearby for the whole family.

In the winter, the Mountain Lodge shines with its quick access to some of the best skiing and snowboarding in Colorado. Telluride Ski Area not only has some of Colorado’s best expert skiing, but it also has miles of gentle green runs for the young and old who want to take it easy.

Choose a luxurious cabin

To take your Telluride trip to the highest level, the Mountain Lodge offers luxury cabins for your stay. In winter, spring, summer, or fall these spacious cabins are your home-away-from-home. Choose from a three-, four-, or six-room cabin for an ideal way to enjoy the Colorado Rockies. In the winter, these cabins are ski-in, ski-out for ease of getting on and off the ski slopes. Jetted tubs soothe sore muscles and joints after a day of skiing, hiking, rock climbing, or whatever your favorite outdoor activity inflicts upon you.

The kitchens feature pine cabinets for a rustic mountain charm. Gleaming granite and marble adds contrast to the wood finishes in each cabin. In the summer, enjoy cooking on outdoor BBQ grills and dine alfresco on your private balcony. Bedrooms offer the best in comfort with superior linens, pillows, and mattresses. Living rooms are furnished in leather sofas, armchairs, and a gas log fireplace. Even in summer, these fireplaces are useful when temperatures can dip near freezing at night.
